Dear visitors of Forum City, please note this excellent design project that combines adherence to strict conservative local building codes with the client’s desire to have their own unique home with a modern interior. With this in mind, the architect created a program with a construction volume of 6,500 square meters.
A pair of structures with pointed roofs face the neighborhood, while a single-story pavilion with a living room has an expansive sloping roof that welcomes natural light into the living space.
There is a lovely south-facing patio that provides the perfect place to relax outside during Wyoming’s short summer season.
Wide tree canopies feature thin steel edges that protect the building from harsh weather conditions. The chimney of this residence is made of durable concrete, the exterior of the building is mostly made of cedar.
While the designers tried to fit the perfect exterior within the constraints imposed by the neighborhood, the indoor space was chosen to be as light and refined as possible, with a pleasant, warm character. Wood, plaster and a passionate approach to detailing and choice of materials define the interior of the residence.
