Tool

To work, you need a minimum set of carpentry tools:

  • yardstick;
  • pencil;
  • hacksaw for wood;
  • plane;
  • slick;
  • a hammer;
  • screwdriver;
  • sandpaper.

Working process

The work begins with the manufacture of side struts, consisting of four parts (see Fig. 3):

  • front leg (part 2), 30x120x650 mm โ€“ 2 pcs .;
  • rear leg (detail 3), 30x120x820 mm โ€“ 2 pcs .;
  • horizontal coupler (part 1), 30x180x700 mm โ€“ 2 pcs .;

Blanks of parts are cut to size and planed. You should pay attention to the horizontal tie, which has a non-rectangular shape. Part dimensions are shown in Fig. 4. It is also necessary to make a cutout 120 mm long and 30 mm deep at a distance of 450 mm from the front edge of the screed..

Part 1 is placed on a flat horizontal surface. The front (part 2) and rear (part 3) legs are fixed with screws, and then an inclined tie (part 4) is screwed on top. The lower end of the tie is cut with a hacksaw along the edge of the rear leg.

A cutout 30 mm wide and 60 mm long is made at the back of the armrest. In the appropriate place of the rear leg, a mating cutout 30 mm wide and 20 mm deep is cut. The armrest is put in place and fixed with self-tapping screws.

The second side post is assembled in a similar way, only it is taken into account that the assembly must be in a mirror image in relation to the first post.

The top end of the rear legs must be cut at an angle of 10-15 degrees.

At the next stage, parts 6, 7, 8 are prepared (size 30x120x1300 mm), part 9 and 10 (30x160x1300 mm). For the seat, prepare bars 40x40x1300 mm, 8 pieces, and for the back, cut pieces of boards 500 mm long and 20-25 mm thick. The number depends on the width of the available boards, they are placed with a gap of 30-40 mm from each other.

The finished sidewalls are installed vertically (secured with the help of improvised means), part 6 is placed in a cutout on a horizontal screed and fixed with screws. Part 7 is screwed on top, moving it to the back by 40-45 mm in relation to part 6.

Then, parts 8, 9 and 10 are installed in their places, fixing everything with self-tapping screws. The assembly diagram is shown in Fig. 5 (without seat and back bars).
